Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with pediatric patients, with a diverse range of diagnoses from birth to 21 years. This role involves evaluating patients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance their daily living skills and overall quality of life. The Physical Therapist may work in various settings including clinics, daycare/preschool, and home health environments.

Pediatric Therapy Center of Wichita has been voted as Wichita's Best Pediatric Therapy Center for 2023 and 2024. We can provide you with a multidisciplinary approach to treating children. Our treatment sessions are one on one and our treatment approach is individualized to each child. We strive to provide quality therapy services to children alongside their families/caregivers. Our desire is for each child to learn how to play, function and be successful in all they do.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and social capabilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies for improving functional independence.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Provide support in various settings such as schools for children with special needs or clinics for outpatient therapy.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Familiarity with physical therapy health practices and the ability to provide care in home health settings.
• Ability to develop effective treatment strategies for individuals with autism or other developmental disorders.
• Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in creating engaging activities tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
• Adaptability to work in different environments such as clinics, schools, or outpatient facilities.
