What To Expect
Tesla is seeking energetic and highly motivated Engineering Process Technicians to join our production team. This position is a key member of the process development, implementation and improvement team which is focused on creating innovative process solutions to assemble the world’s best electric vehicles. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the process including man, material, method, and machine. A strong drive to learn and apply new skills and acquire knowledge will enhance your ability to be successful in this role. What You'll Do Collaborate with all cross-functional teams including groups such as production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams, to sustain and improve on key process metrics.Develop, document, improve, and train to Manufacturing Instructions for all assembly processes. This requires intimate, hands-on knowledge of the processes and the ability to clearly communicate detailed, critical information.Conduct cycle time studies to determine the best distribution of work across the line.Support engineering activities including process changes, validations, and improvements.Assemble and test manufactured goods for dedicated tooling and or processes.Conduct analytical tests, measure and record data using defined tools and softwareParticipate in the continuous improvement of safety, quality, output, and tool uptime
What You'll Bring Strong written and verbal English communication skills.Excellent attention to detail, good organization, analytical and reasoning skills.Ability to create instructional material using written and pictorial materials.Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure.Proficient with Microsoft Excel & WordAble to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics as well as engineering drawings.
Preferred Candidates Experience with operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipmentProficiency with power tools and good mechanical skills and knowledge.Experience interpreting manipulating and interpreting data.Knowledge in CAD and GD&T a plus.
