Job Description

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a strategic Senior Manager of UX Design to lead our Under the Roof Design team, which shapes the core design systems and principles that unify Amazon's operational products. In this role, you will lead the design vision for critical systems used by over 95,000 associates and operations managers across 3,100+ global facilities, processing more than 30M packages daily. You will establish and drive the design strategy across five key areas: Sortation Design, Station Design, Shiptech Design, Air Science & Tech Design and World Wide Returns and Recommerce Design, while partnering closely with product and engineering leaders to create seamless operational experiences.

To be successful in this role, you must be an empathetic leader who can balance the needs of diverse user groups - from station associates to air operations controllers - while maintaining a unified design vision. You'll need a proven track record in coaching and mentoring designers, excel at solving complex operational challenges, and demonstrate ability to transform ambiguity into clear direction. You will work with design leaders across Amazon to create strong partnerships and drive operational excellence through user-centered design.

Our team consists of highly specialized UX Designers, Visual Designers, Researchers, and Design Technologists, organized in People Centered Teams (PCTs) focused on specific user groups within our network. As a Senior Manager UX Design, you will lead multiple teams of individual contributors, working across disciplines to support crucial operational systems. You will be responsible for defining the end-to-end experience vision and ensuring its delivery across all teams. You will champion design systems that scale, drive operational efficiency, and create mechanisms to measure impact across our global transportation and fulfillment network.
If you're excited about shaping the future of Amazon's operational experience, we'd love to talk to you!
