Job Description

**Responsibilities** In keeping with the Dignity Health core values is responsible for administering diagnostic and treatment programs designed to comprehensively evaluate and treat injured and disabled patients to restore maximum communicative function. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience with evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence and competence. + Current California State license in Speech Therapy (LIC SLP) + Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS) **Special Skills:** + Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members physicians hospital departments and the general public. + Demonstrates knowledge of teaching and leadership skills including a proficiency for conceptual thinking motivating teaching principles and problem solving. + Demonstrates advanced working knowledge of the principles standard practices procedures and equipment utilized in the department. + Ability and willingness to actively participate in departmental and hospital programs. + Demonstrates self-motivation and ability to achieve results through good organizational skills and prioritization of work. + Knowledge and understanding of pertinent standards and regulations including DHS and The Joint Commission. + Ability to gather comprehend and interpret data for Quality Improvement activities. + Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment. + Ability to be mentor/coach student interns or oversee their clinical experience. + Ability to be flexible with caseload within any given day as needed for the benefit of the department. + Promotes S.T. services in the community as appropriate. **Overview** CommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health.
