What you'll do...
Are you a leader with a passion for optimizing operational efficiency? Do you have experience successfully managing distribution center operations? If so, we're looking for you to join our dynamic team as the Assistant General Manager for our new Distribution Center onsite in Jacksonville, Florida.
You will report into the Director of Operations as the Assistant General Manager and you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our distribution center operations. You will have 3 years of direct leadership experience. You will have 4 years experience working in operations in a distribution center environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes, improve productivity, and maintain safety. Your leadership and strategic insights will help enhance overall efficiency, reducing operational costs, and improving member satisfaction.
Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of supervisors and associates to achieve and meet performance targets.
Drive operational excellence in all aspects of the business.
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize distribution center operations, ensuring accurate order processing and shipment.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.
Collaborate with logistics, inventory, and member service teams to ensure seamless coordination of operations and meet member demands.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies to create a secure and risk-free work environment to foster a strong safety culture.
Identify opportunities for automation and technology adoption to increase efficiency and scalability.
Actively participate in budget planning, control and cost-effectiveness.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field. A master's degree would be advantageous.
Proven experience of at least 4 years in distribution center management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

Lead, inspire, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of distribution center operations, warehouse management systems, and industry best practices.
Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is a plus.
Familiarity with e-commerce distribution processes and technologies is preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $89,500.00-$192,500.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).

Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics /retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position.
