Job Description

DIRECT HIRE | SALES, ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE | KCMO

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities. This is a hunter sales role requiring a self-motivated professional who thrives on building relationships, developing sales strategies, and closing deals. The ideal candidate has experience selling capital equipment, power solutions, or related technical products to industries such as utilities, telecom, renewable energy, or industrial power.

  • Anticipate $70K-$90K annual base, BOE
  • Uncapped commission (envision OTE to be $130K-$150K, all-in)

  • Anticipate up to 50% travel (trade shows, conferences, customer visits)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Conduct client needs analysis to match solutions with customer challenges
  • Present products and solutions to potential customers, decision-makers, and stakeholders
  • Provide ongoing account management and post-sales support to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and provide sales forecasts and pipeline updates
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, and customer service) to ensure a seamless experience for clients
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and customer visits (approximately 25% travel required)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field (Preferred, not required)
  • 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably in capital equipment, machinery, or power solutions
  • Experience selling to utilities, telecom, renewable energy, or industrial sectors
  • Hunter mentality with a strong ability to prospect, build relationships, and close deals
  • Technical aptitude and ability to sell power-related products
  • CRM experience (HubSpot preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
