Job Summary/Basic Function:

Please Note: These positions are managed through Millersville University's dining services. Employees are not directly employed by Chick-Fil-A.

Assignments could include but are not limited to: the dish room, kitchen, vegetable preparation area, food prep, serving areas, dining rooms, cashiering, food bagging and order expediting.

The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified candidates. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on need. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to:
  • learn procedures and practices for food handling, sanitation, cleanliness.
  • provide exemplary customer service to all customers.
  • use food service equipment and utensils
  • use computer cash register.
  • understand and follow written and oral instructions.

• Basic math skills for recipe and quantity control.
• Working effectively with other employees.
• Working effectively with customers.
• Demonstrated good attendance record.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Must follow basic dress code as established by branded concepts and hygiene standards set by University Dining.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
• Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• May be required to work in cold storage areas.
• May be required to have a valid driver's license to drive university van, box truck or motorized skid.
• Successful interview.
• Successful completion of three background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six months food service experience. Fast food experience. Chick-fil-A experience a plus

Days Worked: Flexible Schedule - Actual days will vary.

Hours/Shift worked: 2:30 - 10:30 p.m.
