Job Description

JOB IDENTIFICATION:

This nonexempt position primarily supports the office staff by conducting receptionist type tasks by answering phones, intake of potential new clients, and assisting the attorney, the office manager and other support staff.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

This role involves managing multiple lines of communication, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate records. This job provides an opportunity to work in a legal environment and requires strong organizational, data entry, and interpersonal skills. This role requires someone’s ability to answer calls in a professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to answer all incoming calls timely and promptly.
  • Maintaining quality record keeping of communications.
  • Conducting client intake, collecting necessary information, and scheduling follow up appointments.
  • Efficiency and reliability in completing tasks, returning calls, and updating case files.
  • Must be able to maintain complete confidentiality and conduct business related matters in a private setting to maintain confidentiality.
  • Reviewing body worn camera footage (and other case specific materials as needed) to draft summaries to assist the attorney in continued litigation for the clients’ case matter.

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintaining professionalism and kindness to clients and potential new clients. Exhibiting independent thinking/problem solving skills. The candidate will be required to be consistent, reliable, and should be personable to help establish an appropriate rapport with clients and their families.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in the following fields is preferred but not required: intakes/sales, communications, receptionist work, data entry, criminal justice.
  • Ability to work with technological devices such as computer and phone devices. Proficient in word, excel, and email services. Other types of systems used where familiarity is a bonus but not required include but are not limited to: Dropbox, Ring Central, GSuites, hard drives, MyCase, etc.
  • Must be located in Colorado Springs, CO or able to travel there when needed. At times, may be asked to travel to surrounding counties. Must have reliable transportation when needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work can be done remotely; we do have a physical office location if that better suits your needs. The hours are 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. with an hour lunch break.

COMPENSATION:

$16-18 per hour depending on qualifications.
