Job Description Summary
As a member of the Industrial Segment of the Steam power Services Business, you will be an active contributor to the Planning and execution of maintenance outages for our Alliance partner, International Paper. This role will require you to be an expert on Steam Turbine Generator maintenance and be able to lead complex projects for a critical customer within our Industrial portfolio.

Role and Responsibilities
- Provide Project Management for execution and oversight of projects on turbine generator equipment maintenance outages throughout the International Paper Fleet.
- Act as a communication liaison to offsite GE engineering staff, technical centers, and other GE Steam Power representatives during normal system operations as well as urgent plant conditions (forced outages, abnormal system operations etc)
- Support planned and forced outage planning and scheduling.
- Support online maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Direct and oversee repair or inspection procedures as the onsite technical lead.
- Recognize, predict and document potential failures and future outage recommendations.
- Pull, review and interpret prints, such as manufacturing drawings, P&IDs and schematic drawings.
- Participate as a Service Team member dedicated to Safety metrics.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve with the support of engineering to resolve customer issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned and support business needs when not on field assignment.
- Support in defining & adjusting maintenance strategies.
- Provide written and verbal TFA recommendations as required.
- Involvement and assistance in projects and other improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related technical discipline with 8+ years of experience in power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or power plant equipment installation commissioning, or High School diploma / GED with 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Completion of the GE FEP or TFA Training
- Ability to travel 80% annually
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge or experince with GE Lynn units
- Recent experience with International Paper and an IP Preferred TFA
- Turbine Evaluation Assessment and Maintenance Scheduling (TEAMS) / STEP Qualified
- Strong understanding of outage planning
- Strong analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills including the GE tools.
