Job Description

SEnergy, a growing and dynamic consulting engineering firm located in Boerne, College Station, and Houston, TX, is seeking is seeking entry level engineers to join our team.

Engineers are core to our business and needed in different areas, including:

• Substation Engineering Division
• Transmission and Distribution Engineering Division.

Substation Engineering Division:
Substation Engineers will work on our protection and controls design team engineering projects for medium and high voltage electrical substations for utility and industrial customers across the region. The position will include preparation of construction drawings and specifications including one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, relay panel design, logic schemes and supporting programs, and wiring diagrams.

Transmission and Distribution Engineering Division:
Transmission and Distribution Engineers will work on overhead and underground transmission and distribution projects for our utility and industrial customers across the region. The position will include preparation of construction drawings and staking sheets, 3-dimensional pole loading analysis, design specifications, construction estimates of cost, and GPS staking coordinate files.

These positions are located in our offices in Boerne (near San Antonio), Houston, or College Station with occasional travel to project sites or other office locations. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering
• CADD experience.
• Driver’s license.

Additional experience desired, but not required:

• Overhead transmission or distribution line design experience.
• High voltage or medium voltage substation design experience.
• Experience with PLS-CADD design software, Electrical Power System Analysis & Operation Software, and/or GIS products such as ESRI.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with electronic staking sheets.
• Previous electric utility experience.
