Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

 Within the GCI Insights team, this role supports the marketing teams in telling compelling stories with data that empowers organizational leaders to make better and more informed decisions. The incumbent will be mainly responsible for designing and maintaining data in preparation for analysis and to communicate insights/recommendations to the marketing teams. This position provides a unique opportunity to learn about our commercial organization while working on complex business issues

Typical task breakdown:

 Designing and maintaining data systems and databases, including troubleshooting potential issues.

 Mining and cleaning data in preparation for analysis.

 Identify integration issues with other projects/processes and coordinate the improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals.

 Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and business strategy across the world to leverage regional development into our worldwide organization.

 Communicating insights with business teams and key stakeholders.

 Preparing reports which effectively communicate GCI Key metrics.

 Preparing strategic recommendations for process adjustments, procedures, and performance improv.

Interaction with team:

 Daily interactions with the Analytics team based in the US and Switzerland + weekly with Project Sponsor on key marketing initiatives.

Work environment:

 Flexible, 3 days in office (AB Building in Peoria) and 2 days at home if desired.

Education & Experience Required:

 Typically requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in data analytics, computer science, statistics, economics, marketing, or a similar field with data skills, and 1-2 years of professional experience utilizing data science in a marketing environment is required.

 Must be comfortable working in industry standard statistics, analytics, and data visualization packages.

 Must demonstrate strong initiative, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Technical Skills

(Required)

 Proficient skills in Power BI including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) & Power Query M coding.

 Demonstrated experience with Snowflake.

 Explains the basic decision process associated with specific statistics.

 Requirements analysis – ability to confirm deliverables associated with requirements analysis and communicate with customers and users to elicit and gather client requirements.

 Accuracy and Attention to detail - utilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking outputs; accurately gauges the impact and cost of errors, omissions, and oversights.

 Analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

 Strong Communication and interpersonal skills - ability to communicate in a simple and clear way complex concepts and data. Enjoys interacting and collaborating with others with various cultural and professional backgrounds
