Billing Manager

Our client is a well-established Non-Profit healthcare organization based in St. Petersburg, Florida that offers its employees the support and understanding you would expect from top-rated management.

The Company: Our client is a behavioral health organization that provides quality care for patients who are experiencing an acute mental, emotional, or substance use crisis.

The Position : Our client is looking for a Billing Manager to oversee a billing department at a non-profit health center.

• $64,000 - $80,000 Depending on Experience

Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ experience in the field of behavioral health medical claims reimbursement strongly preferred
• Medicaid or Medicare billing experience required
• 3 years of supervisory experience supporting a billing team required
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or business discipline or associate’s degree with knowledge of medical reimbursement and related terminology including CPT coding.

Responsibilities:

• The clinic is open Monday – Friday 8 am – 5pm
• Ensure that all tasks related to the running of an effective billing department are completed, including but not limited to completing all pre-billing and billing processes.
• Oversight of the billing process of various departments to ensure that the information for clients is correct and that their billing system generates an acceptable claim.

• Communicate and coordinate with external billing agency on outstanding claims, analyze the receivable accounts and payments received to identify trends and denial issues that need to be corrected.
• Working rejected and denied claims, corrected claims and rebilling them within timely filing guidelines.
• Establishing a relationship with major funding sources and filing grievances against third party payers as necessary and ensuring that all parts of the processes are clearly documented.
• Must exercise excellent analytical skills to seek out problems in the billing process and recommend viable solutions.
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of coding and billing rules from each third-party payer.
• Knowledge of credentialing process for staff providing services
